The End of the Empire
This is an abandoned railway station in Abkhazia, former Russian territory. It stays untouched since the collapse of USSR - the railway connection of Abkhazia and Russia stopped and railway station left out of demand so nature could take over the left-overs of Soviet architecture. In my opinion it reminds somehow the Prince of Persia video game scenes or scenes from the movie of the abandoned civilization after some major disaster.

In Soviet Era there were automobiles for each class of people. We already told about Zaporozhets (for the middle class), Volga (for the upper class) and even Invalidka for disabled people, who were not able to drive ordinary cars.
The point is that the Soviet children also had their own pedal vehicles for kids, mostly produced at the real car factories. For example, AZLK factory, which produced Moskvich, had it’s own section of pedal Mosckvich models.
Pioneers of Russia

These are photos of Soviet kid’s organization. The participation was compulsory for every school student, but we need to admit it was also very awaited for 10 years old boys and girls - most of them simply couldn’t wait the day when they receive their bright red tie - the symbol of Russian Pioneers. It was considered as the first step for becoming a communist, and any damage to the red tie could be very strictly punished just because the tie symbolized the Red Flag - flag of Soviet Russia.
Soviet Russian Photos Correction

People say that some pictures from the past might be photoshoped. Yes it can be true. But what is the truth anyways? Was the “authentic” photos from times passed long time ago always authentic and true?
Here are a few examples of how Soviet authorities “photoshopped” their photo-chronicles without even using this popular Adobe software. And the whole word got those images as true and authentic.
On the pic above you can see Stalin and co. going for the walk, on the image to the right there are four people and to the left.. three are left. And look how did they manage to recreate the background. This one, from the left part, was published officially. And the guy who is missing was executed.
Russian Mobile Nuclear Power Plants

Not many know, but Russian engineers have constructed the mobile nuclear power plants that were sucessfully used in distant parts of Russia. Those were small sized self moving fully functional atomic power plants with a small reactor inside. Just imagine, small nuclear power plants that could reach the destination points by themselves.
There were two basic models - tracked and on regular wheels.

This Russian guy is fond of making photos of the ’slime molds’ - micro mushrooms that grow on the plants.
